Now more than ever, mental health and looking after yourself is a huge priority. And while the concept is less taboo than ever before, groups like Deakin University’s Centre for Social and Early Emotional Development (SEED) want to ensure we promote emotional health among the population - from pregnancy through to adulthood and into the next generation.

Deakin enlisted the help of Lumeo Studios to showcase SEED’s work via animation.

Using Lumeo’ Brand Builder package, the team worked collaboratively to create the first of five (shown above) 2D illustrative videos.

Given the nature of the content, and in order to appeal to the audience, the video needed to be soft and warm, but more importantly, engaging. With this in mind, the biggest challenge came in the form of making the animation feel as gender-neutral as possible. 

“We’re really happy with the outcome,” Lumeo Producer Indi Kanat said.

“I love how it looks. It’s a great example of how we take a collaborative approach with clients to produce awesome results.”
